Can you remember your childhood? I can sometimes, certain events are very clear in my mind.
What makes us remember only certain events? The human memory is a complicated area that has provoked many theories. My theory is that if it had a major effect on our life, then we remember it.
What do we lose when we can’t remember something that is of value to us? I know, it’s a hard question to answer. My memories are priceless, if I can recall them. The real question is, what do I want to remember?
I want to bring to my mind all of the memories of when my children were young. They are all grown up now and in various stages of denial. Now it’s the grandchildren that make it worth reminiscing. Comparing the grandchildren to their parents is an entertaining experience. Of course, their parents will swear that they never acted like that, yeah right.
Things are different now, it’s more about self-gratification, live life to it’s fullest, even if your kids suffer the dirty consequences. They’ll bounce back, sometimes I believe kids have a God given force field surrounding them, they just look the other way and keep on ticking.

Are there any book stores in Palm Springs?
I am asked this question almost every day. I always say, yes, we are a book store in the Palm Springs area.
Uh… ok they say, where are you located? Hmm…that’s a difficult question to answer because we do not have a physical store front. This website is our store front.
You see, it is very hard to make money in the book selling business. As a matter of fact, there is really no money in opening a local bookstore. There is a lot of competition. I repeat, A LOT!.
